Funeral Services for Mike Holley, 76, of Montalba are scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Carroll Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Waddell officiating. Services are under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.

Mr. Holley passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Carroll Springs.

Michael Wayne Holley was born on January 4, 1940 in Carroll Springs, TX the son of Andrew Wilson Holley and Violet Huntington Landis Holley. He was a 1958 graduate and former football player for Grand Prairie High School and a 1962 graduate of Arlington State College with a BBA. He loved history and dominoes, and was an Administrative Assistant in the Texas Army National Guard. Mike married Karen Arlene Kemp on September 1, 1962. They were married for 31 years before her passing. Mike was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend who will be greatly missed by all he knew and loved.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Arlene Holley and father.

He is survived by his mother Violet Holley of Carroll Springs, son David Holley and wife Patti of Missouri, brother Ron Holley of Carroll Springs, and nephew John Holley and wife Courtney of Canton, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be sent to Carroll Springs Church, Building Fund, 5885 County Road 4604, Athens, TX 75752.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
