Funeral services for Deborah Smith, 62, of Eustace, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, 2015 at Bois D’Arc Baptist Church in Palestine with Bro. Mike Drinkard officiating. Interment will follow at Payne Cemetery in Eustace.
Deborah passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in Tyler.
Deborah Suzanne Felker Smith was born May 27, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico the daughter of George Felker and Patricia Long. She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking and crafting. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at the age of 21. She loved her church family and her Sunday school class. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, and Nana who will be missed by all she knew and loved.

She is preceded in death by her father; one brother, John Felker; and one daughter, Tammy Gonzales.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband James Melvin Smith of Eustace; mother, Patricia Felker; two daughters, Heather Farester and husband Sean of Chantilly, Virginia; Shelley Fitzgerald and husband Robert of Montalba; one son in law, David Gonzales of San Antonio; two sisters, Virginia Bayer of Corsicana, Barbara Jolly of Athens; two brothers, Charles Felker of Arlington, Billy Renfrow of Paris; seven grandchildren, Delaney Gonzales, Danyelle Gonzales, Chase Farester, Macy Farester, Savannah Fitzgerald, Faith Fitzgerald, and Joseph Fitzgerald.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Smith, Benjamin Smith, Colt Harris, Jordan Harris, Jason Harris, Ethan Jackson, Aaron Austin, and Robbie Williams.

Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 P.M., Friday, November 27, 2015 at Bois D’Arc Baptist Church Palestine, Texas.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
