Funeral Services for John Martin, 67, of Grandview are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Leon Wallace and Bro. Darren Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Martin passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas after a short battle with Leukemia.
John William Martin was born May 19, 1948 in Guthrie, Oklahoma the son of John Martin and Amanda Katherine Smith Martin. Johnny resided in Grandview with his family for 18 years. He was a retired paving contractor and he owned Windwalker Game Fowl Farm. Johnny was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by all he knew and loved. Johnny’s last wish was for his whole family to know how very much he loved them and that it meant the world to him and Linda for every time and everything they did to help them through the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Jarrod Martin.
He is survived by his wife Linda Martin of Grandview; two sons, Jesse Martin and John Martin both of Grandview; five grandchildren, Audrey Martin of Cleburne, Brianna Martin of College Station, Jacob Martin of Cleburne, Johnny Martin of Kopperl, Steve Martin of the U.S. Navy-stationed in Everett, Washington; two great grandchildren, James William Lee of Cleburne, Kenzie Martin of Grandview; one brother Garvin Martin and wife Eunice of Athens; two sisters, Delia Williams and husband Billy of Waxahachie, Barbara Boswell and husband Russell of Malakoff; eight nieces, one nephew, five great nieces, three great nephews, one great-great niece, and one great-great nephew.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Josh Stewart, Will Smith, Aaron Boswell, Andy Bourland, Billy Ott, Harry Boyce, Charlie Boyce, and Henry Cooper.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
