Obituary for Yvonne Stogner
Funeral Services for Yvonne Dunn Stogner, 81, of Athens are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the LaRue United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Dunn, Dr. Gary Bowman and Bro. Edwin Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery in Athens.
Mrs. Stogner passed away on September 16, 2020 in Kerens.
Yvonne (Dunn) Stogner was born October 5, 1938 in Frankston, Texas the daughter of Henry Elbert Dunn and Lena Rebecca (Clark) Dunn. She was a member of the LaRue United Methodist Church. For 17 years she worked at the Exxon on 175 and 31, on the ‘Y’ in Athens, cooking in the kitchen. Yvonne lived in the Athens area her whole life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, sitting in the sunshine and watching her hummingbirds. She also loved plants, animals and she especially cherished her family, they were very important to her and will miss her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Foy Lynden Stogner; daughter Deborah Ann Haws; son David Harold Haws and great grandson, Kollen Edwin Bowman.
Yvonne is survived by her children, Jenny and Gary Bowman of Tyler, Jimmie and Jeff Murphy of Tyler, Dennis Haws of Malakoff, Cheryl and Darrell Kutscherousky of Athens, Foy and Machelle Stogner of Athens; two brothers, Leon Dunn of Athens, Larry and Antoinette Dunn of LaRue; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ryan, Taylor and Garrett Kutscherousky, Greg Haws, Alex Caddell, Kevin Bowman. Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Bowman and Michael Bowman.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens from 6-8:00 P.M.
