Graveside services for William Penney, 91, of Montalba, Texas are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Liberty Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas with Bro. Paul Diepenbruck officiating.

Mr. Penney passed away on August 5, 2020 in Tyler.

William Lynn Penney was born August 7, 1928 in Cayuga, Texas, the son of Allen A. Penney and Annie Foye Fitz. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at the Echo Creek Golf Course. “Pa Paw” cherished spending time with his family and will be missed by all he knew and loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fonda Penney and brother Doyce Penney.

William is survived by three children, Steven L. Penney of Palestine, Norma Foley of Cypress, Pam Bottorff of Godley; eight grandchildren, Jason Penney and wife Jamie, Nathan Penney and wife Courtney, Cami Bledsoe and husband Brennen, Chris Shandera and wife Amy, Shawn Shandera and wife Velma, Stephanie Rowell and husband Danny, Paul Jones and wife Kelly, Penney Brewer and husband Timothy; nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
