Graveside services for Wanda Hampton, 85, of Malakoff, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 25, 2021 at Post Oak Memorial Cemetery in Cross Roads. Services will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hampton passed away on October 21, 2021 in Malakoff.

Wanda Jean (Sims) Hampton was born May 2, 1936 in Athens, the daughter of Rupert Aubrey Sims and Jessie (Carter) McWhirter. She loved to travel all over the world and was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed by all she loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Hilda Anding and Betty Fontenot.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, D.W. Hampton of Malakoff; children, Donny Weldon and wife Nona of Houston, Craig Weldon and wife Linda of Streetman, Keith Weldon and wife Donna of Tri City; sisters, Keetah Holley of Arkansas, June Spaulding and husband Wayne of Godley, Phyllis Munsterman and husband Bob of El Paso, Kathy Isgitt and husband Scott of Many, Louisiana; brother, James Hall of Marysville, Kansas; two granddaughters and three great grandchildren, soon to be four.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family.
