Obituary for Terry Loye Trammell
Graveside services for Terry Trammell, 70, of Athens, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Rome Cemetery.
Mr. Trammell passed away May 19, 2021 in Athens.
Terry Loye Trammell was born Feburary 20, 1951 in Athens, the son of Perry Jessie Trammell and Minnie Ethel (Fuller) Trammell. He attended the Athens Independent School District as a young man before enlisting in the United States Marine Corp where he served during the early 70’s. Terry worked for Athens Steel for more than 20 years and was a talented artist- specializing in cartoon drawing. He enjoyed fishing, music and dancing and loved telling stories and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Larry Doyle, Gerald Trammell, Bobby Trammell, Jimmy Trammell and Kay Trammell.
Survivors include children, Jason Jones of Athens, Justin Trammell and wife Kelly of Cabot, Arkansas, Terry Trammell, II of Sherman, Ellen Warren and husband Doug of Bertram; siblings, Wayne Trammell of Athens, Danny Trammell and wife Cindy of Tyler, Patsy Foster of De Kalb, Lana Wright of Athens and seven grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
