Obituary for Stoney Wade Henson
Stoney Henson, 40, of Athens, passed away November 24, 2021 in Athens.
Stoney Wade Henson was born January 4, 1981 in Athens, the son of Joe David Henson and Adonna Laverne (Calhoun) Ford. He attended Dogwood Church of Athens and spent a career as a computer tech- something he loved very much. Stoney worked for Gulf Shore Telecommunications for several years, helped install cabinets and fixtures in schools for General Casework Installers and worked with the Athens Thrift Shop. During his free time, he enjoyed collecting and selling old fishing equipment and antiques. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandmother, Vonnah Calhoun; aunt, Joy Calhoun and a brother from another mother, Mike Coats.
Survivors include mother, Adonna Ford and husband Jimmy of Athens; stepmother, Reba Henson of Athens; siblings, Kyle Henson of Athens, Kayla Henson of Athens; uncles, Charles Calhoun of Athens, Troy Calhoun of Cross Roads; best friend, Matt Atkins of Athens, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved cat, Baby Girl- whom he loved very much.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
