Stewart Kidwell, 57, of Athens, passed away November 6, 2021 in Athens.
Stewart Burton Kidwell was born September 11, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Calvin Blair Kidwell and Judith Ann (Burton) Mathia. He graduated from Grove High School in 1982 and was the operations manager with Hot Shot Logistics.
He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Kidwell; mother, Judy Mathia and husband Louis “Red”Mathia; paternal grandparents, Sammie and Jean Kidwell; maternal grandfather, Orlin “Buzz” Burton and maternal grandmother, Rose Hopkins and husband Virgil.
Survivors include wife, Melissa Kidwell of Athens; children, Erin Chism and husband Jeremiah of Moore, Oklahoma, Jake Kidwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sammie Kidwell of Athens; siblings, Calvin “Stoney” Kidwell, Jr. and wife Debbie of White Hall, Arkansas, Stephen Kidwell and wife Connie of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bryton Scott Chism, Bristol Scott Chism, Bridger Scott Chism; nieces and nephews, Devin Kidwell, Maeghan Kidwell, Ameira Kidwell and previous wife, Robin Kidwell.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
