Obituary for Stacie Ann Boyd
Graveside services for Stacie Boyd, 65, of Fairfield, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Rome Cemetery in Athens. Interment will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boyd passed away November 2, 2019 in Fairfield.
Stacie Ann (Kruer) Boyd was born August 17, 1954 in New Albany, Indiana, the daughter of Marvin Louis Kruer and Reva Marie (Joseph) Kruer. She was a 1972 graduate of Floyd Central High School in Floyd Knobs, Indiana and later went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Geology from Oregon State University and her master’s degree in Geology from the University of Utah. Stacie worked for Unocal 76 for 15 years and the United States Postal Service for 10 years. She enjoyed flying sail planes, traveling and fishing, but her love for her horses rivaled them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Stacie is survived by her husband, Donald Boyd of Fairfield; children, John D. Barnett and wife Jenna of Midland, Elton C. Boyd of Cleburne and Kenneth C. Boyd and wife Catherine of San Diego, California; brother, Steve Kruer and wife Vicki of Floyd Knobs, Indiana; nieces, Amy and husband Scott and Traci and husband Alan; one great nephew and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 11AM-12PM at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
