Oren Kimbell Watson, much loved husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home in Cayuga, Texas on Friday, November 18, 2022.

He was born on July 26, 1943, in Corsicana, Texas to Raymon Leroy Watson and Zeoma Maxine (Harris) Watson. He attended Cayuga High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Ann. They were married on November 2, 1963, in Hobbs, New Mexico, where they lived for several years before returning to Cayuga where they raised their three children. Kimbell owned his own business, Watson Water Well Service, for many years and built all his own equipment and rigs. After retiring early, you would often find him out in his shop repairing, building, or painting things or out on their property building fences and mowing. His favorite hobby was flying however, and he owned several planes through the years. The highlight of his flying experience was building his own RV-7A airplane in 2003, which was in the centennial year of powered flight. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and proud grandfather & great-grandfather. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and never failed to let us know that he loved us.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymon and Maxine Watson; his sisters, Linda Lozano and Barbara Howell and his brothers, Turner Watson and Randy Watson.

He is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 59 years; his three children, Paula Libby and husband Mark, Karl Watson and wife Brandy, Kirk Watson and wife Alycia; his grandchildren, Klayton Watson and wife Macy, Scott Libby and wife Julia, Karlie Davis and husband Tristan, Kade Watson, Spencer Libby and Kynzie Watson, Christy Cooper and husband Daniel, Bethany Libby, Ali Bullard and husband Brian, Ashlyn Evans and husband Chase; great-grandchildren Loxley Watson, Krew Davis, Junie, Boston, Bennett Bullard and one sister, Myrtle Lois Pritchett.
