Obituary for Mildred Louise Petty (Atchley)
A Celebration of the Life of Mildred Petty will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Mildred Louise Petty was born May 2, 1934 in Oklahoma the daughter of J.C. Atchley and Edna Atchley. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Thomas Petty; son Barry Neal Gibson; sister Betty Taylor and brother Dan Atchley.
She is survived by her two children Layton Gibson and wife Tonua of Murchison, Kelly Gibson and wife Michelle of England; one brother Holland Atchley of Gilmer; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
