Obituary for Michael David Mollett

Funeral services for Michael Mollett, 38, of Bullard, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at St. John of Damascus Orthodox Church in Tyler, with Father Athanasios Kombos officiating. Interment will follow at St. John of Damascus Orthodox Cemetery under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Mollett passed away on October 2, 2022, in Tyler.

Michael David Mollett was born February 23, 1984, in Houston, the son of Michael Duane Mollett and Darline Janette (Ramey) McCraw. He graduated from Whitehouse High School in 2002 and obtained a bachelor's in history from the University of Texas at Tyler. Michael married Bianca Rachelle Bell on September 1, 2019, and they were devoted members of St. John of Damascus Orthodox Church. He worked in sales for his entire adult life and most recently served as the general manager of Academy Homes of Palestine. During his free time, Michael enjoyed studying history, especially the Civil War and the Battle of Antietam. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Stars and the Houston Astros and playing Mario Kart. Michael loved his family, church, friends, and animals and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Mary Lou Mollett, and his maternal grandparents, David and Joyce Ramey.

Survivors include wife, Bianca Mollett of Bullard; father, Mike Mollett of Rosenberg; mother, Darline McCraw and husband Mike of Bullard; daughter, Audrey Chumley of Whitehouse; siblings, Laura Mollett of Littleton, Colorado, Kimberly Johnson and husband Keith of Quinlan, Mike Puga of Bullard, Tiffany Puga of Idaho, Autumn Chandler of Dallas, Cody McCraw of Bullard; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John of Damascus Orthodox Church, 12989 CR 1113, Tyler, Texas 75709.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
