Obituary for Michael Jackson Holland
Memorial services for Mike Holland, 72, of Athens, will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens, Texas.
Mr. Holland passed on September 20, 2021, in Athens.
Michael Jackson Holland was born November 28, 1948, in San Gabriel, California the son of Laura Mae Holland. He was member of the Dogwood Church of Athens for many years and owned and operated Holland Roofing Company for over 50 years. He enjoyed bowling, cooking and especially going to the movies. Michael was a true family man who loved his children and grandchildren. He was an outgoing, loving soul who never met a stranger, loved going to stores to talk to people and will be greatly missed by all who met him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Tosha Cross-Wright and husband Matt of Greenville, Gina Holland of Athens, Crystal Paul and husband Khellan of Wylie, Eric Holland and wife Shelby of Sherwood, Arkansas; fiancé Kelly Moore of Malakoff; seven grandchildren, Chloe Torres and husband Steven, Jasmyne Wright, Daylon Wright, Zakary Wright, Kimbree Baker, Kaylahni Paul, Atticus Holland and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 5-6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
