Obituary for Mary Lou Tucker (Rogers)
Graveside services for Mary Tucker, 74, of Athens, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Union Cemetery near Cross Roads with Bro. Frank Upchurch officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tucker passed away on March 17, 2023, in Tyler.
Mary Lou (Rogers) Tucker was born on April 9, 1948, in Canyon, Texas, the daughter of Reuben E. Rogers and Ada Lorene (Moore) Rogers. She loved being outdoors and spending time with family telling stories. Mary will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Walter “Buster” Tucker; her siblings, William Rogers, Joe Lee Rogers, Floyd Rogers, and Betty Blasingame; and her son, Jeffrey Tucker.
Survivors include her children, Doug Tucker and wife Cindy of Athens, Charlie Tucker and wife Jennifer of Beckville; her brother, Don Rogers of Victoria; her sister-in-law, Peggy Rogers of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Amber Calloway and husband Chris, Taylor Rambo and husband Preston, Tori Tucker, Tiara Harris and husband Christian, Tobi Tucker, Luke Jackson, Tucker Jackson, Brittany Tucker, Shelby Tucker, Megan Tucker, Brianna Gunnels and husband Robby, Kody McClelland and wife Makale, David McClelland and wife Valerie; 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
