Obituary for Mary Fayrene Hillhouse (Schrader)
Graveside services for Fayrene Hillhouse, 89, of Montalba are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Stafford-Tucker Cemetery in Springfield, Texas with Reverend Matthew Thomas officiating. Interment will follow under direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hillhouse passed away on January 5, 2021 in Montalba.
Mary Fayrene Schrader Hillhouse was born on January 1, 1932 in Anderson County, Texas the daughter of William Horace Schrader and Ida Mae Kale Schrader. A lifelong member of the Carroll Springs United Methodist Church, she was active in the Carroll Springs community for many years. She was an identical twin to her sister, Irene. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, talking to people, waiting on the mail, going to the boats in Louisiana, and spoiling her cat, Sally. Fayrene was a loving mother and good friend who will be missed by all she knew and loved.
She is preceded in death by her husband A.C. Hillhouse; her parents and her grandparents WH and Fannie Kale.
Fayrene is survived by her loving son Darrell Lee Hillhouse and wife Kendall; her twin sister Irene Stafford; nephew Steve Stafford and wife Tammy; nephew Randall Stafford and wife Jenny; nephew Debbs Hillhouse and wife Mary; niece Peggy Kirkland and husband Robert; niece Deany Hillhouse and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Stafford, Randall Stafford, Botie Hillhouse, Denny Ward, John Alen, Kyle Turner and Russell Rayburn.
In lieu of flowers the Hillhouse family would like donations made in Fayrene’s memory to the Carroll Springs United Methodist Church.
