Obituary for Mary Ann Fitzpatrick (Tinnin)

Graveside services for Mary Ann Fitzpatrick, 87, of Cayuga are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 19, 2019 at Judson Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas with Rev. Riley Pippen and Chaplin Mark Broburg officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Mary Ann Fitzpatrick passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Athens.

Mary Ann Fitzpatrick was born November 25, 1931 Dallas, Texas the daughter of John Lester Tinnin and Lillie Matthews. She made her home in the Cayuga, Texas area most of her life. She met her husband of 65 years, Kenneth Fitzpatrick when they were teenagers and married five years later on May 30, 1953. She was not only a mother, she worked in various occupations. She was a Baptist and member of Judson Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family. She loved watching nature. Monday through Friday she was not to be disturbed when she was watching Days of Our Lives. In more recent years she enjoyed her tablet and loved keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. She is the rock of our family and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kent Fitzpatrick; brother Larry Tinnin; infant grandson Scott Franklin Fitzpatrick and son-in-law Ronald Jean.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Fitzpatrick of Cayuga; four children, Kelly Fitzpatrick and wife LaRue, Kathy Jean, Ken Fitzpatrick, Kraig Fitzpatrick and special friend Selena Poor, all of Cayuga; one sister, Betty Kelley and husband Wayland of Palestine; six grandchildren, Jennifer Fitzpatrick of Cayuga, Clinton Felts and wife Rose of Brownsboro, John Jean and special friend Chassaty Barker of Athens, Mason Fitzpatrick of Cayuga, Summer Fitzpatrick and special friend Travis Hazlett of Palestine, Dwight Fitzpatrick of Cayuga; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
