Memorial services for Marilee Cook, 63, of Athens are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Carroll Springs United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cook passed away November 2, 2021, in Tyler, Texas.
Marilee (Putt) Cook was born May 7, 1958 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Peggy Ann (Chapman) Hamby. She attended the Carroll Springs United Methodist Church of Athens and enjoyed drawing. Marilee was a strong, upbeat woman and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Terry Hamby and sister, Sandy Putt.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell Cook of Athens; children, Cory Cunningham and wife Jackie of Mineola, Justin Cunningham of Athens, Jamie Cunningham of Athens; brother, Jay Putt of Houston; and grandson, Bruce Cunningham.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
