Obituary for Lisa Jean Wilson (Bowling)




A Celebration of the life of Lisa Wilson is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Hope Church Murchison with Pastor Blake Wilson and Pastor Raymond Doke officiating. Services will be under the direction of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family.

Pastor Lisa went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2023, in Tyler surrounded by her loving family.

Lisa Jean Wilson was born October 18, 1973, in McAlester, Oklahoma the daughter of Charles Rick Bowling and Sue (Wingo) Bowling. Lisa worked in Human Resources as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner since 1997 where she truly loved her work talking to people while also serving as a dedicated and proud Pastor’s wife since 1992. She proudly told everyone she met about her Jesus and was known to pray for anyone who needed help as well as many that had no idea she was talking to God for them. She enjoyed shopping, collecting shoes and loved going on vacation. MiMi enjoyed most her time with her family especially her grandbabies and will be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her mother Sue Bowling; maternal and paternal grandparents and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband Pastor Chris Wilson of Athens; four children, Blake Wilson and wife Jocelyn of Murchison, Kayce Wilson of Athens, Cody Wilson of Quitman, Colton Wilson and wife Hannah of Chandler; father Rick Bowling of Kiowa, Oklahoma; brother Brent Bowling of Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Noah Blake Wilson, Caselyn Nicole Wilson, Judah Ray Wilson, Asher Kase Wilson; niece Ashley Cook and husband Zach and their children, Rylen and Ganyn Cook.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donation to be made in her memory to Hope Church Murchison, P.O. Box 492, Murchison, Texas 75778.
