Obituary for Linda Darnell Lansdale (Hammons)
A memorial visitation for Linda Lansdale, 74, of Athens will be held from 9-11:00 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
Mrs. Lansdale passed on May 2, 2021 in Athens.
Linda Darnell (Hammons) Lansdale was born April 4, 1947 in Gorman, Texas, the daughter of Leonard Darrell Hammons and Margie (Rice) Hammons. She was a graduate of Moran High School and of Business College before meeting the love of her life Charles Lansdale Sr. and becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed swimming and fishing with her family and spent many hours in her flower beds. Nanny loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Charles Elwyn Lansdale Jr.
Linda is survived by her husband Charles Lansdale Sr., of Athens; daughter Dana Lansdale of Athens; son Lucas Colt Lansdale of Athens; four grandchildren, Preston Lansdale, Harlie Bailey, M.J. Henderson, Ty Henderson and five great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
