Obituary for Lillian Beatrice Bachor

Services for Lily Bachor, 70, of Palestine, Texas are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., July 9, 2022 in the Sky Rose Chapel at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, California with Sean Bachor officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hills Cemetery.

Ms. Bachor passed away on June 27, 2022, in Palestine.

Lillian Beatrice Bachor was born December 6, 1951, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the daughter of Boris Bachor and Wiera (Leszczuk) Bachor. In April of 1965, the Bachor family moved from Argentina to California. Lily graduated from Alhambra High School in 1970 and spent a remarkable career as a certified senior escrow officer. She worked with Commerce Escrow for twenty years, First American Title for five years, Chicago Title for five years, and owned and operated ESCO Escrow Company for over ten years- all in Los Angeles. Lily was one of the state’s experts in bulk sales (sale of businesses), and people would call from all over the state for her expertise. She was a member of the California Escrow Association (CEA), where she served as board president twice during her career and served on the educational board as she was always willing to share her knowledge with anyone who needed help. During her time in California, Lily sang in the Pasadena Community Choir for several years. Lily’s nurturing spirit led her to care for her mother until she went home to be with her Heavenly Father. In December 2020, she moved to Texas to spend as much time as possible with those who knew her as ‘Tia’- her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Tia always looked forward to having tea parties with them and their friends and enjoying the jacuzzi she recently purchased. She loved to travel, enjoyed gardening, and recently took up cooking. Lily will be remembered as an elegant yet sophisticated woman with the most caring and generous heart. To her family, she was the most beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, Tia, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Lily will be smiling while driving her “1F8KVET” on Heaven’s Highways.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include brothers, Steve Richard Bachor of Palestine, Al Bachor and wife Kathi of Athens; nephews, Tyler Bachor and wife Quina, Brandon Bachor and wife Alli, Ricardo A. Bachor, Alana Bachor, Marko Bachor; great-nieces and nephews, Ricardo Bachor, Leia Bachor, Zoey Bachor, Jemma Bachor, and Marlee Bachor.

A visitation will be held prior to the service in Room 209 at the Rose Hills Mortuary Visitation Center from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
