Obituary for Krista Angelic Smith-Bircher
Funeral services for Krista Smith, 40, of Augusta, Texas are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Bethel Christian Church near Athens with Bro. Mike Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Krista passed away June 5, 2021 in Grapeland.
Krista Angelic Smith was born October 6, 1980 in Athens, Texas the daughter of Samuel Henry Smith and Cynthia Kay (Beck) Smith. She was the epitome of a homemaker; someone who loved cooking, baking, hosting get-togethers and spending time with her family. Everyone knew that her grandbabies were her world and she did everything she could to be with them as often as possible.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Erin Smith.
Survivors include her husband James Bircher of Augusta, Texas; her children, Cheyene Smith and husband Jesse Olivas of Augusta, Ryan Trussell of Craig, Colorado, Blake Watkins of Grapeland, Texas, Zoey Bircher of Barnsdale, Oklahoma, Zander Bircher of Kotzebue, Alaska; paternal grandmother, Wilma Smith; maternal grandmother, Joan Beck; grandchildren, Ryleigh Smith, Samuel Olivas, Blakelynn Olivas, Ryker Chelette-Trussell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held prior to the service at Bethel Christian Church on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 11:00 a.m-12:00 p.m.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
