June passed away on June 14, 2019 in Palestine, Texas following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Winona June Partin was born June 18, 1938 in Van Zandt County, Texas the daughter of Billy O’Neil Partin and Martha Avelene Mewbourn Partin. Raised in the Athens area, she graduated from Athens High School in 1956 and went on to attend Henderson County Junior College (Now TVCC). June met the love of her life, Johnny Knott in High School and they were married June 2, 1956. She was a devoted homemaker and coach’s wife for 57 years, before Johnny’s passing in 2013. She was very involved in all of Jason’s school activities including being part of the PTA, Homeroom Parent and a Football Booster. She also enjoyed gardening and spent countless hours working in the yard. June will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved.

May June rest in peace, Jason. She was a very nice lady. I met while bowling here in Athens many years ago. She was a lot of fun.
I am sorry about her having to go through so much. She is free now of all problems of health. May God watch after you Jason and give you peace. June is feeling 100% whole and happy now.💝💝💝

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Knott; however I felt as though I knew her through my friendship with her son Jason. He and I worked together several years ago and I was very fond of him. He always spoke lovingly of his parents and it was so obvious that he had learned the meaning of respect at home. I have kept up with him through Facebook over the years and have such great respect for him and the way he has cared for his mother. I always loved the pictures he posted of her (I especially love the one used in her obituary) I always felt he was able to capture the very essence of the lady his mom was. God bless you Jason and may you find peace knowing that your parents are together in heaven. I know they are proud of you. Steve Ann Stockstill
