A private interment for Judithe Cushenbery, 79, of Athens will be held in the Hardtner Cemetery in Hardtner, Kansas, under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Judy passed away April 21, 2020 in Tyler.
Judithe Ann (Mills) Cushenbery was born September 28, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joseph Dewey Mills and Mildred Addean (Yoakum) Mills. Throughout her life, Judy was an active member in the Assembly of God church. She enjoyed collecting rocks and gardening. “Memaw” loved her grandchildren and was a selfless woman who always took care of her family. She will be missed by all those she knew and loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sylvia Mills and brother, Jake Mills.
Judy is survived by her loving husband E.W. Cushenbery of Athens; children, Kirk and Rhonda McFarland of Longview, Kelly and Leanne McFarland of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Niki Wigington of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John and Shiela Cushenbery of Athens, Julie Cushenbery of Athens, Larry and Shannon Cushenbery of Longview; sister Mary Kimery of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brandon McFarland, Laura and Jonah Boaz, Misty and Paul Mendoza, Mary and Nicholas Higgs, Melissa and Bryson Wiler, Kyle McFarland, Brayden and Amanda Wigington, Jordan and Ryan Post, Taylor and David Lister, Felicia and Garrett Lawler, Damion and Kaitlyn Moore, Kierra Hicks, Devon Morrow, Chase Cushenbery, Madyson Cushenbery and ten great grandchildren.
