Funeral services for Judy Lamance, 85, of Athens, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens with Father Nolan Lowry officiating.

Ms. Lamance passed away May 19, 2021 in Tyler.

Judith Lee (Adams) Lamance was born November 15, 1935 in, Whittier, California, the daughter of Mrs. “Mickey” Adams. Judy was a very talented lady who spent countless hours painting, making quilts and was a very active member of the Corsicana Quilting Guild. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses and throwing dinner parties for the moving company that she and “Tex” owned. Spending time with her friends and family was a great joy of hers and she will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years H E “Tex” Lamance and one sister Jamie Adams.

Survivors include her children, Chris Lamance and wife Barbara of Athens, Kathy Lamance of Eustace and two grandchildren, Tyler Logan Lamance of Bryan and Madison Mae Lamance of Denver, Colorado.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
