Obituary for J.P. Thomas Blagburn
Funeral services for J.P. Thomas Blagburn, 89, of Athens, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, Texas
Mr. Blagburn passed away January 30, 2021 in Athens.
J.P. Thomas Blagburn was born February 18, 1931 in Edgewood, Texas the son of Joe L. James Washington Blagburn and Margaret (Rohus) Blagburn. He was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church and loved the Lord. J.P. was known as a hard worker who spent over 40 years in the area as a plumber. He enjoyed fishing, stock car racing and was a generous man, always taking care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Larry Thomas Blagburn.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Blagburn of Athens; three children, Clint Blagburn and wife Laura of Eustace, Rob Allen Blagburn and wife Christina of Athens, Robert Allen Blagburn Jr., and wife Morgan of Athens; five grandchildren, Adam Blagburn, Elise Blagburn, Gary Woody, Dustin Blagburn, Shania Blagburn and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
