Obituary for Jeffrey Scott White
A celebration of the life of Jeff White, 61, of Athens, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at New Frontiers Cowboy Church, with Pastor Sam Inman officiating.
Mr. White passed away on May 25, 2023, in Athens.
Jeffrey Scott White was born on August 24, 1961, in Waxahachie, Texas, the son of Stephen Nathan White and Marilyn Kay (Busbice) White. He attended Athens High School and previously worked as an F.C. Operator at the aluminite plant in Malakoff. Jeff was an avid reader, a talented painter and woodworker, enjoyed music, and loved his cat, Titters. He was a wonderful man, a doting husband, and a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Cherie White of Athens; his father, Stephen White of Austin; his daughters, Crystal Lanphier and husband Dobe of Aledo and Lacey Inman and husband Sam of Canton; his siblings, Stephen White, Jr. of Austin and Melanie Kincaid of Austin; and his grandchildren, Savannah Lanphier, Elliot Lanphier, and Jocelyn Villagrana.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
