Obituary for Scott Duncan

Scott was born on July 11, 1963 to Lionel and Norma Duncan. Scott spent most of his life in the towns of Cayuga and Malakoff. Growing up on the lake, he enjoyed swimming and going on fishing trips with his father. He was a loving, caring, and hardworking man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed working the farm and tending to the cattle. He was always willing to help his friends or neighbors no matter what time it was. That same heart and drive to help others is shown in his 44 years of time and service to the community of Cayuga as a Volunteer Firefighter and Fire Chief.

Scott leaves behind his wife Katherine, sister Donna (Connie) Tomlin, sons Jeffrey, Jonathan (Tammi), and daughter Brittney (Trey) along with grandkids Catherine (18), Cari (16), Brettly (8), Lainey (6), and Clayton (4).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 12pm at the Bethel-Cayuga Volunteer Fire Department located at 20490 N Hwy 287 Cayuga, TX 75832.

Please bring warm smiles and wonderful stories as we come together to remember this extraordinary man.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
