Obituary for Jana K King
Graveside services for Jana King, 65, of Bradford, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Mike Drinkard officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. King passed away January 13, 2021 in Palestine.
Jana Kay (LeGard) King was born August 24, 1955 in Ft. Worth, the daughter of Wanza Ernest LeGard and Elsie Mae (Wiggs) LeGard. She was a member of the Bois D’Arc Baptist Church and previously worked for Curtis-Mathis and Disciples Crossing before retiring from Argon after nine years. Jana loved her cats and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and having her nails done. Most important to her was taking care of her family as a devoted mother and “Grandma”.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include husband, Darrell King, Sr. of Bradford; children, Julie Lewis and husband Chris of Winnsboro, Jeremy King and wife Jamie of Lufkin, Darrell King, Jr. of Bradford; siblings, Wanza LeGard, Jr. of Pontiac, Michigan, LaRue Fitzpatrick and husband Kelly of Cayuga, John LeGard of Springfield, Cherie LeGard of Lubbock; grandchildren, Lane Lewis, Callen Lewis, Sawyer King, Beckett King and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
