Graveside services for Jackie House, 93, of Athens, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, with Pastor Adam Thornton officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. House passed away on February 5, 2023, in Athens.

Jacqueline Jo (Maybery) House was born on November 13, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of William Patrick Maybery and Velma (Buckmeyer) Maybery. “Jackie” or “Mimi” enjoyed watching sports and loved attending her husband’s, children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s ball games. Jackie also devoted her time to volunteering at her local church. She loved big and will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Jackie was reunited with her husband, Rex, and daughter, Karen Jo, in heaven.

Survivors include her son, Charles House and wife Rose; granddaughter, Kelli Thornton and husband Adam and their children, Harrison, Ashton, Madison, Braden, Tristen, Lauren, Kaylin, Rylin, Zain, and Edyn; grandson, Kevin Bush and his son, Phaelan Rex; grandson, Chris House and wife Laci and their children, Kristin, Klayton, Jaden, Everett, and Decker; cousin, Janet Autrand; and son-in-law, Ray Gene Bush and wife Verna.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
