Services for Jack Baldridge, 82, of Athens, will be held at a later date at their family cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Mr. Jack Baldridge passed away May 12, 2021 in Athens.
Jack Eugene Baldridge was born December 14, 1938 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of Stoye Baldridge and Mary (Sharp) Baldridge. He spent his career in management, working over 39 years for Safeway as a store manager all over Arkansas, Missouri and Mississippi. When he retired, he and his family moved to Texarkana, Texas where he decided to come take on a co-manager position at Wal-Mart for three years and then an inventory control manager position with Home Depot for over six years. Jack and his wife Carroll then decided to retire and move to Athens where he enjoyed golfing and riding his golf cart around the neighborhood. One of his favorite things to do was making car deals and the art of giving the guys at Hall Buick/GMC a hard time. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Athens and will be missed by the many friend and family that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Stacie Morris.
Survivors include wife of 44 years, Carroll Baldridge of Athens; children, Jack Eugene “Gene” Baldridge II and wife Jolynn, Michael A. Baldridge, Kenneth R. Baldridge, Jennifer Lee Clarke and husband Robert E.; sister, Barbara Pixler of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; grandchildren, Brandi Baldridge Campbell and husband Kyle, Annabella Clarke, Samuel Clarke, Ali Beth Clarke, Tyler Morris, Ashlynn Morris-Wills and husband Weston; great grandchildren, Isabella Campbell, Connor Wills, Mariah Wills and Trevor Wills.
