Athens - Funeral Services for Hal Carroll, 74, of Athens are scheduled for 12:00 p.m., March 19, 2019 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Athens.
Mr. Carroll passed away peacefully on March 15, 2019 in Athens, Texas.
Hal Connally Carroll was born December 29, 1944 in Athens, Texas the son of Hazel Carroll Mathis. He was a very hard worker who for many years worked at a fence company. He greatly enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Hal is survived by his loving wife Kathie Carroll of Athens; four children, Michelle McClure of Portland, Oregon, Bubba Carroll Jr. of Athens, Karen McSweeney of Athens, Kevin Carroll and Jennifer of Kilgore; one sister; ten grandchildren, Dakota Carroll, Katelyn Carroll, Mallory Carroll, Chase Carroll, Konner Carroll, Shelby McSweeney, Matthew Carroll, Tiffany Carroll and Duke DeSanto, Brandon McClure, Stephanie and John Gaston; and six great grandchildren, Bree Gaston, Kinsley Gaston, Kelsey Carroll, Kaleigh Carroll, Alivia DeSanto and Aryial DeSanto.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at the funeral home.
