A memorial visitation for Gayleen Laningham, 65, of Larue will be held from 3:00-5:00 P.M., Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
Mrs. Laningham passed away on May 19, 2020 in Athens.
Gayleen Kay Laningham was born on March 29, 1955 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth Simonsen and Dorothy Luther. She was a family woman who loved her children and pets and enjoyed fishing with her husband. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gayleen was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband Donald Laningham of Larue; son, Matthew Laningham and wife Robin of Euless; three siblings, Dennis Simonsen of Waco, Jeanne Larson and husband Randy of Waco and Pam Smith and husband Sam of Rockford, Illinois; sister-in-law, Dawn Laningham of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers-in-law, Brad Laningham of Larue and Bob Laningham and wife Marilyn of Euless; granddaughter, Sydney Ferrell; great granddaughter, Rebekah Ferrell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her very best friend, Betty Rhodes of Grapevine.
