Obituary for Evelyn Louise McKinnon
Funeral Services for Evelyn McKinnon, 66, of Athens are scheduled for 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Pastor Jonathan Lilley officiating.
Ms. McKinnon passed away on April 6, 2022, in Athens.
Evelyn Louise McKinnon was born April 15, 1955, in Fresno, California the daughter of Cecil McKinnon and Lois Mildred (Pearce) Crutchfield. She was a caretaker at heart spending over 25 years as a long-term caregiver and CNA in the Dallas and Athens area. Spending time with her grandbabies was her favorite thing to do as well as working in the yard and arts and crafts. “Mamaw” was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Allen McKinnon.
She is survived by her two children, Shayvonne Roberts of Malakoff, Kody Burden of Odessa; three sisters, Gloria Jean Irvin and husband Danny of Athens, Elizabeth Faye Crutchfield of Athens, Loretta Crutchfield of Larue; seventeen grandchildren, Courtney Roberts, Devin Hall ,Maalik Hall, Jamaze Roberts, Meyah Roberts, Lyric Roberts, Ka’Mecia Walker, Taylor Johnson, Sierra Johnson, Jiana Roberts, Cassidy Harvey, Lindsay Anderson, Tevin Hall ,Brittney Jones, Jawuan Martin, Sadie Martin, Erika Buie; eleven great grandchildren, Ka’Mori Jones, Kace’lyn Walker, Oakley Anderson, Talia Martin, Raylen Buie, Alaya Buie, Landon Johnson, Jaiden Jones, Romonie Buie, Tinsley Kelly, Nevaeh Roberts; special great niece Chasity Rackley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will Elkon Crutchfield, Dakota Crutchfield, LaChance Crutchfield, Jimmy Roberts and Anthony Chilton.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
