Obituary for Dorothy Jane Brown (Poole)
Dorothy Brown, 84, of LaRue, passed away May 30, 2021 in Athens.
Dorothy Jane (Poole) Brown was born January 5, 1937 in Dallas, the daughter of Manson Poole and Dovie (Smith) Poole. During the late 90’s and early 00’s she worked for Dairy Queen in Athens where she enjoyed meeting and serving people. She loved her plants and flowers and enjoyed the 37 years she and her husband rode motorcycles as a hobby. Dorothy was loving, kind and caring and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Darrell Brown; daughter, Teresa Ann Brown and sisters, Vera Cobb and Louise Cobb.
Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Herbert Brown of LaRue; daughters, Debra Lynn Warren and husband Mitchell of Granbury, Kathy Smith and husband Darrell of LaRue; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
