Obituary for Dondra Jean Miller (Lowe)

Funeral Services for Dondra Miller, 81, of Athens are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas.

Ms. Miller went to be with her Savior on February 4, 2020 in Tyler, Texas.

Dondra Jean Miller was born August 10, 1938 in Hugo, Oklahoma the daughter of Bill Lowe and Grace Rankin Lowe Rawlins. She retired from PriceWaterhouseCoopers after a 30 year career for the firm and then worked part-time performing payroll duties for the McDonald’s Lilly Enterprises until her retirement in 2013. She attended St. John Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Athens Kiwanis Club and the American Legion Post 511 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed square dancing, playing golf, going fishing and gardening. Dondra Jean also loved playing bingo, working on puzzles and reading. She cherished spending time with her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister in law, William and Theta Lowe and two nephews, Curgus Lowe and Kenneth Lowe.

Dondra is survived by her loving children, Diana Bardwell and husband Hubert of Allen, Nancy Nunez of Garland, Jeaneane Lilly and husband Kevin of Athens, Bennett Robicheaux of Athens, Dan Robicheaux and wife Anna of Coppell; sister Frances Tea and husband Charles of Tyler; nine grandchildren, Caitlin Guerra, Ava Robicheaux, Aidan Robicheaux, Asa Robicheaux, Abram Robicheaux, Ari Robicheaux, Melody Briggs, Marisa Phillips, Marc Lilly; numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Lilly, Chad Briggs, Johnny Thomason, Tres Winn, Matt Patek and Terry Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Robicheaux, Jon Tea and Matt Tea.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
