Mrs. Gordon cycled her way into the arms of Jesus on May 13, 2023, in Athens.

Debra Katherine (Lindeman) Gordon was born on April 23, 1956, in San Marcos, Texas, the daughter of Benedict Reinhold Lindeman and Elizabeth Ann (Schenk) Moulton. She attended Ryder High School in Wichita Falls, Caprock High School in Amarillo but graduated from Tehran Iran American High School in Tehran. Debbie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas. After extensive culinary training from Cordon Bleu in San Antonio, the San Francisco Baking Institute, and a specialized culinary school in France, she opened and operated The Cake Box Bakery in Wichita Falls. Debbie also taught with the Keller Independent School District, worked with children at the Harris Methodist Hospital / Sid Richardson Daycare, and worked as a parole officer in Henderson County. She was a dedicated and founding member of Life Fellowship in Athens, where she volunteered for 16 years. Debbie was an exercise instructor who enjoyed running, working out on her stationary bike and even rode her bicycle 18 miles to work so Bob could get home from military training each weekend to be with his family. Debbie possessed all the qualities of a servant- kind, caring, and compassionate, to name a few and was a caregiver to many throughout her life, including taking care of her husband, Bob, when he became disabled from the military to most recently caring for her mother. Her remarkable legacy as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend will live on in the lives of those she impacted.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael “Mike” Charles Lindeman.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Bob Gordon of Athens; her father, Benedict “Benny” Lindeman of Windthorst; her mother, Betty Moulton of Athens; her children, Benedict Robert “Robby” Gordon of Jacksboro and April Christine Gordon of North Richland Hills; her siblings, Donna Marie Irizarry and husband Ray of Keller, Benedict “Little Benny” Lindeman, Jr. of Burkburnett, Johnny Lindeman and wife Rebecca of Windthorst, and Lewis Lindeman of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Trent McDermed, Aubree Soliz, Kilah Gordon, Jakob Gordon, and Justus Dotson; her great-grandson and adopted son, Kayden Gordon of Athens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 1-3:00 p.m. at Life Fellowship prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
