Obituary for Darla Allen (Robertson)
Funeral services for Darla Allen, 83, of Malakoff will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church Malakoff with Pastor Ed Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at Malakoff Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 7, 2023, in Malakoff.
Darla Allen was born June 3, 1940, in Malakoff, the daughter of John Leroy Robertson and Clemmie Bell (Pate) Robertson. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church Malakoff, loved studying her Bible and attending her Sunday school class. She moved back to Malakoff after spending over 50 years in Lancaster where she worked for Texas Oil and Gas corporation, the City of Red Oak and Brookshire Grocery Company. Darla loved sewing and crocheting and spending her extra time reading. Gramma was a loving woman who truly enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog Dixie and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wiley Allen; one brother Johnny Nekuza and one sister Valle Officer.
Survivors include her two beloved sons Tom Allen and husband Jeff Howard of Houston, Brian Allen and wife Leslie of Italy, Texas; one sister Margie Blair of Waco; five grandchildren Brady Allen and wife Sammy Jo, Brandon Allen and wife Meagan, Brittanye Stone and husband Jered, Demi Allen, Andi Ford and husband Justin, Gus Allen; eight great-grandchildren, Mayce Allen, Jordan Cooper, Heaton Allen, Maibrye Stone, MaKaulye Stone, Wyatt Allen, Everett Allen and Scout Ford.
Visitation will be held prior to the services on Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Malakoff.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family.
