Obituary for Clinton Lloyd Patin

Funeral services for Clint Patin, 82, of Montalba, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Wes Bynum.

Mr. Patin passed away March 5, 2021 in Athens, Texas.

Clinton Lloyd Patin was born May 23, 1938 in Denham Springs, Louisiana the son of Joseph Newton Patin and Mary Alice (Henderson) Patin. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, served for several years as a fireman and worked for over 20 years as a postal worker in Port Arthur, Texas. Clint loved spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, spent countless hours tinkering and building things and enjoyed watching football especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Clint is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Stanley Patin, John Patin, Gloria Addison, Wanda Harris and Margaret Ruby Thompson.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Patin of Montalba; two children, Mitchell Patin and wife Sally of Dallas, Melissa Dolan and husband Mark of Jonestown; two step-children, Tony Prater and wife Leisa of Lindale, Lisa Myers and husband James of Tyler; three grandchildren, Mak Patin, Marlana Patin, Daniel Dolan and three step-grandchildren, Chase & Miranda Prater, Brittani Prater and Delvin Myers.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Dolan, Mak Patin, Marlana Patin, Chase Prater, Delvin Myers and Josh Gilbert.

A visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or your local Firefighters Association.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
