Obituary for Chad Allan Bishop
Memorial services for Chad Bishop, 48, of Athens, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Bishop passed away October 30, 2020 in Athens.
Chad Allan Bishop was born December 12, 1971 in Mankato, Minnesota to Mary Bishop, and adopted by Dale Bishop. He attended schools in Mankato, Minnesota and graduated from Lewisville High in Lewisville, Texas in 1991. He lived in several cities throughout TX, with Athens, TX being his last residence. He was a lifelong car and motorcycle enthusiast and his passion was classic cars. Chad truly enjoyed working on them, both mechanically and doing auto body restoration. He also had an extensive collection of car models. He loved music, both rock and roll and country, was a fun loving man who had many friends and was loved by all.
He is preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include mother, Mary Bishop of Trinidad, Colorado; fiancé, Beckie Castleberry of Athens; son, Brendan Allan Bishop of San Antonio; brother, Michael Bishop and Dianne Chalmers of Burnet; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dog, Tigger.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
