Obituary for Cecil George Marshall
Funeral services for Cecil Marshall, 86, of Murchison, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Barton’s Chapel Assembly of God with Bro. Terry Thomison officiating. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery under direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Marshall passed away February 22, 2020 in Athens.
Cecil George Marshall was born July 21, 1933 in Frederick, Oklahoma, the son of Dumas Marshall and Clara (Walker) Marshall. He was a member of Barton’s Chapel Assembly of God and loved his church and pastor. Cecil enjoyed traveling and loved to garden, oftentimes sharing his bounty with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Denyse Marshall and four brothers.
Survivors include wife, Faye Marshall of Murchison; son, Lynn Marshall and wife Cindy of Arlington; sister, Ruby Hess of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 1-2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
