A Celebration of the Life of Calvin Jackson Jr., 57, of Malakoff will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens with Dr. Paul Redic officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jackson went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 8, 2019 in Tyler.
Calvin Lee Jackson Jr. was born August 7, 1961 in Waxahachie, Texas the son Calvin Lee Jackson Sr. and Nettie Henrietta Bowman Jackson. He was one of the original members of the Builders of Christ Church in Athens and was most recently a member of Darty Temple in Malakoff. Calvin was known as a family man that loved his wife, children and his grandchildren. He worked for the city of Malakoff for over 20 years, retiring in the water and sewer department. He enjoyed fishing, working on old trucks and riding motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Nettie Bowman Jackson; daughter Shmeika Nicole Jackson; sister Sheila Jackson and brother-in-law Alvin Briggs.
He is survived by his loving wife Tracie Hall Jackson of Malakoff; father Calvin Jackson Sr. of Malakoff; five sons, Calvin Jackson III of Dallas, Kevin Jackson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Chris Hall of Athens, Bernard Hall of Athens, Michael Hall and wife Christina of Athens; six sisters, Debra Jackson of Dallas, Sandy Willis of Bedford, Judy Briggs of Malakoff, Diana Jackson of Lancaster, Veronica Jackson Giles and husband Ronnie Jr. of Corsicana, Kemica Wright and husband Raymond of Dallas; seven grandchildren; two “brothers”, Paul Redic, Waymond Jackson and numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Barron, Terry Jackson, Colin Glover, Charles Lyons, Michael Hall, Bernard Hall, Chris Hall, Bobby Jackson, Marcus Jackson, Jimmy Davis Jr., Kevin Jackson, Dr. Paul Redic, Stephen Pineda and Oscar Martinez.
