Obituary for Brandon Allen Lunceford
Graveside services for Brandon Lunceford, 49, of Athens, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Holly Springs Cemetery near Canton with Pastor Jeff Corey officiating under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Lunceford passed away May 1, 2022 in Athens.
Brandon Allen Lunceford was born April 7, 1973 in Grand Saline, Texas the son of Allen Taylor Lunceford and Dora Shearlene (Easley). He was a member of the China Grove Baptist Church and was a landman for many years for Sonora Resources. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, shooting guns, smoking meats and hanging out with his dog Bo Jangles. He loved soccer whether it was playing in his younger years or coaching and spending time with his children and family on the field. Uncle Bubba was a loving father, son, brother and uncle who will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Truman and Cozette Easley and Zeke and Nora Lunceford.
Survivors include his two children, Zachary Lunceford and Madison Lunceford both of Canton; mother Shearlene Jarrard and husband Bill of Canton; father Allen Lunceford and wife Hollie of Athens; sister Theresa Bennett and husband David or Canton; step-brother Billy Jarrard and wife Peggy of Nevada, Texas; one grandson Clay St. John; two nephews, Hunter Bennett and his son Frank Bennett and Hagen and Laura Bennett and their daughter Hallie Bennett.
A visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
