B.J. Holt, 83, of Athens, passed away May 24, 2021 in Athens.
Billie Jean (McNiel) Holt was born April 16, 1938 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the daughter of Daniel Millard McNiel and Lottie Lucille (Dykes) McNiel. She managed High Rise Retirement Apartments in Georgia for many years and loved reading, sewing and crocheting. B.J. will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carolyn Davis.
Survivors include children, Mark Holt and wife Karen of Fredricksburg, Bonnie Lynn of Crescent Heights, Jill Plescher of Athens; sister, Chris Jordan and husband Dennis of Snellville, Georgia; grandchildren, Rebecca Lopez, Shane Holt, Josh Holt, Cody Lynn, Travis Lynn, Adam Holt; 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
