Obituary for Barbara Eleanor Williams (Carlson)
A Celebration of the Life of Barbara Williams will be held Monday, September 2, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church in Kemp with Rev. Randy Melton officiating.
Barbara passed away on August 20, 2019 in Eustace.
Barbara Eleanor Williams was born on July 7, 1942 in Highland Park, Illinois the daughter of Ossian Gustav Carlson and Laura Eleanor Neff Carlson. She was a member of the St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church. She moved to the lake in 2001 and was a director at the Bridge Club Studio at Cedar Creek. Barbara was a true caretaker, taking care of her parents and husband in their illnesses. She very much enjoyed her time with friends during bridge, bridge tournaments and getaway trips to the casino. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was very proud of each of her grandchildren and adored her great grand babies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Buford Roy Williams; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Laura Vanderford and husband Charles “Chip” of Eustace; sister Virginia Petersen and husband Terry of Dilworth, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Zachery Vanderford and wife Gidget, Corinne Moore, Faithe Sharpless and husband Shelby, Quenton Vanderford and wife Katelyn; five great grandchildren, Holden Moore, Hensley Moore, Ava Vanderford, Samuel Vanderford, Brinkley Sharpless and baby Micah due in November.
