Obituary for Barbara Ann Fisk (Mauldin)
Funeral services for Barbara Fisk, 90, of Malakoff, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens, with Pastor D.R. Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Prairie Hill Cemetery in Prairie Hill, Texas.
Ms. Fisk passed away on November 2, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.
Barbara Ann Fisk was born July 30, 1932, in Prairie Hill, Texas, the daughter of John Laurence Mauldin and Lorena Belle (Yarbrough) Mauldin. She worked for many years for the Los Angeles County Road Department in Administration before moving to Texas to spend the rest of her career at Baylor University Medical Center as the Administrative head of Baylor’s Outpatient Clinic. Barbara loved traveling to Las Vegas and working sudoku, crossword puzzles, and various other mind games. She was a loving mother who will be missed by all she knew and loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Fisk, and her sister Betty Wessels.
She is survived by her son Charles Laurence Fisk of Irving and one nephew Mark Wessels and wife Angela of McKinney.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
