Obituary for Arnold Eugene Redding Jr.

Services for Arnold Redding Jr., 57, of Larue, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Living for The Brand Cowboy Church with Bro. Gary Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Cemetery near Larue under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Arnold passed away in Athens, Texas on January 6, 2023.

Arnold Eugene Redding Jr. was born on March 2, 1965, in Dallas, Texas to Arnold Eugene Redding Sr. and Wilma Jean (Berryhill) Redding. He attended Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas and North Lake College before starting Arnold’s Service Inc. where he served the DFW and Henderson County areas and their HVAC needs for over 37 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved cattle ranching, cutting hay and hunting. He raced cars in his younger years and loved sports betting, going to the casino’s or just betting anyone he could every chance he got. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and never failed to let us know that he loved us.

He was preceded in death by his father and wife Rhonda Redding.

He is survived by his faithful dogs Rusty and Wrangler; his mother Wilma Jean Redding of Athens; sister Gail Schoppe and husband Larry of Grand Prairie; his brother-in-law Mark Davis and wife Donella of Fairview; Shelly Redding of Whitewright; Belinda Keys of Irving and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Daymond Redding, Raymond Redding, Michael Redding, Colten Davis and Kyle Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Satterfield and Mark Davis.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in his memory to St. Jude’s.
