Mrs. Ireland passed away April 28, 2020 in Athens.
Agnes Lucille (Brewer) Ireland was born February 15, 1929 in Chandler, Texas, the daughter of Clint David Brewer and Myrtle (Nowlin) Brewer. She was a long-time member of the West Athens Baptist Church and served as board president of the Women’s Missionary Union. For many years, Agnes worked as an educator within the Child Development Center when Trinity Valley Community College was Henderson County Junior College. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and planting flowers, especially iris’.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles William Ireland and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include son, Kelly Ireland of Athens; brother, George Brewer of Shreveport, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
