William Beekman

William Beekman, 53, of Athens, Texas passed away July 12, 2015 in Athens.

William Gregory Beekman was born July 18, 1961 in Amarillo, Texas the son of William Arthur Beekman and Jimmie Patterson Beekman. He was self-employed working in Los Angeles as a Journeyman electrician for many years and worked in many stars homes including Barbara Streisand and Raymond Burr. He was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed classic rock and horses. He was a loving father, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed.

Mr. Beekman was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Jimmy Joe Martin.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Lynn Beekman and Amber Christine Beekman both of Glendale, Arizona, one sister, Janice Martin of Athens, one niece, Kimberly Sherrell and one nephew, Thomas Shayne Henshaw.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
